Being an American expatriate, living in Paris is like being on vacation everyday... except when I have to go to work, do laundry and clean the apartment.... oh well.

Wow. There's this X Box game called Midtown Madness 3 where the player can choose to work undercover, do a checkpoint race, or cruise around a city. The two cities available are DC and Paris. I've often chosen to cruise because I'm on my own time (no racers to try to beat, no time limits to come under, nada), and when I've chosen Paris, my driving has resembled the one in the film. The only difference is that there has never been the possibility of hurting myself or others. This film is just...crazy.
Uh yeah. This film made me a little uncomfortable. Definitely not a safe thing to do.
I recently learned that the director was arrested after this 1976 film, reportedly of a Ferrari 275 GTB being illegally driven at speeds approaching 140mph through the streets of Paris by a Formula 1 driver.
Recent claims made by the director himself, however, suggest he drove his own Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 in the film and dubbed the sound effects of a Ferrari 275GTB. Several independent groups have verified that the car in the film never reaches past 140 km/h (85mph).
Yeah. But I am seeing plenty of red traffic lights and high-speed driving in the wrong lane. Yup, stick with your X-Box.
